individual and corporate leadership, helping leaders and teams rise above the
issues that impede creativity and growth. He focuses on helping leaders develop
an appreciative mindset that allows them to notice what is valuable and working
in their organizations and build capacity by tapping into the root cause of
success.
Mark has led major organizational change initiatives in the educational sector, increased
empowerment and built effective teams in the pulp and paper industry,
contributed to rolling out learning and career resilience processes in the
automotive industry. His passion, in all of these areas, is the development of
leadership that inspires individuals and teams to take ownership of their
contributions to organizations.
He has acted as a coach to senior civil servants involved in
the Accelerated Executive Development Program of the School for Public Service
in Ottawa, coached culture change initiatives in a variety of organizations and
continues to teach as an adjunct professor in the Executive Development Program
of the Schulich School of Business at York University and with the Loyalist
Knowledge and Training Centre of Loyalist College.
Mark has worked with thousands of people, from assembly
lines to boardrooms. He is just as comfortable and effective working with front
line workers as he is coaching executives. His mastery of English and French
benefits his clients by providing fully bilingual services across Canada and in
the U.S.

Dr. Dalton Kehoe
Dalton

entertaining.
Dalton, Senior Scholar of Communications, in the
Communication Studies Department of
York University, is also one of the most highly-rated
seminar leaders in the Executive Development Division of the Schulich School of
Business, and has been recognized as one of the top teachers at both York, and
also in the province of Ontario.
Dalton’s
goal is to help organizations respond to current waves of change with a system
of values, modes of leadership and forms of collaboration that stimulate
organizational excellence. Dalton inspires people to attain and sustain

Birgit Langwisch
Birgit combines her knowledge of human
communication and her experience in mediation and facilitation, with her
passion for bringing "the best of ourselves" into interpersonal
interactions, even difficult ones involving disagreement, miscommunication and
intense emotions.

With a teaching background in English
Language and Literature, and trained as a mediator, facilitator and workshop
leader, she brings a wealth of both theoretical knowledge and practical
experience to her work. Her clients value her terrific sense of humour, her
commitment to collaborative learning and her deep appreciation for the variety
of their perspectives and experiences. Workshop participants often comment on
her ability to facilitate challenging situations with empathy and calm.
Birgit's contribution to Heart of the
Matter includes, helping groups manage all kinds of change
"appreciatively", coaching problem-solving teams and work groups,
mediating conflict and delivering workshops focused on: self-managed communication,
facilitation techniques for leading teams, using mediation and negotiation
techniques, self-management & conflict resolution and appreciative

In her spare time, she indulges a passion for singing,
gardening and spending time with her family.
Sandra Norman
Since the
start of her career she has sought to help individuals
flourish in life and work. Sandra has gained a reputation as an excellent instructor
and coach.
Sandra is presently
investing in people individually and corporately to assist them in developing the skills and character of effective leaders. She is known as a consulting professional who puts people at ease while challenging them to gain new ground. 
She works with individuals and groups in a broad spectrum of organizations
navigating their way through major change and upheaval. From the challenges in office dynamics in the corporate setting, to coaching individuals in their
career development; from strategic planning and vision casting in the public service, to personality diversity training in manufacturing, to managerial leadership effectiveness coaching, Sandra works with the client to develop

communication competency skills with individuals and groups. Clients
have included the Federal Government, Municipal Level Leadership,
Private Business and Non-Profit Leadership.
Currently he is a facilitator for the Loyalist College Training &
Knowledge Centre and partner with Heart of the Matter Consulting along
with his responsibilities at the Canadian National Office of Youth
Unlimited/YFC.
